USB DMX Configuration

Supported Devices

We currently support:

  • Enttec Open DMX
  • Enttec Pro DMX
  • Enttec Pro DMX Mk2 (2 Universes)
  • Eurolite DMX Pro v2
  • Generic FTDI based DMX Controllers based on the FT232RL chipset with a DMX Chip. (Select Enttec USB Open driver)
  • DMXIS - When it is UNLOCKED with the Unlock code, will work as a "Enttec USB DMX Pro"
  • SoundSwitch Micro DMX Interface (v1.0.47+)*

If you require support for another DMX Controller, then please contact us and we will do our best to support your device.

We DO NOT support UART Only based USB DMX Interfaces - FT232RQ / FT232RLU (UART-based without DMX512)!

Please bear in mind, some devices are specific to their manufacturers software only and are effectively 'locked-down' so they cannot be used with other software. In such cases we are unable to support those devices.

Configuration

The default settings are usually correct when we're able to detect the type of USB DMX device you have connected, however you can change any of the settings as required, but remember to click Save to store the settings after changing.

To apply changed settings, you need to click the Restart icon in the top right corner to restart the USB DMX service.

Similar to sACN and ArtNET, if you add fixtures to new universes, then a config for that universe will become available. However, unlike other drivers, the USB configuration is limited to 1 usb device per universe, to run 2 universes you must connect 2 seperate USB DMX interfaces.
