Live Edits

Live edits allow you to combine DMX Level overrides into a simple button. You can use the Live Controls tab to adjust any setting of any device in the group, and then by clicking the Disk icon save those settings in a Live Edit.

Creating Live Edits

When you save the Live Edit you can name it, select a color code for the swatch displayed on the button as well as decide if the Live Edit should be triggered by another action; Strobe, Blackout, Blinder Freeze or Fog, you can select one or none of these actions.

As of v1.0.29, you can also specify if the liveedit should be faded in or out.

Live Edits have a very high priority, only Manual Controls and direct DMX Input will override a Live Edit.

Triggered Actions

If you specify a Triggered By value, then when that action is active it will also trigger the live edit. This could be useful for example, if you wanted the Fog machine to fire every time you pressed the Blinder, or if you wanted some lights to be enabled/disabled when you pressed the Flash. The options are endless as you have total control down to the DMX Channel of any device.

Once saved you will see the new Live Edit button on the Live Edits page. There is no limit to how many you can create.

To activate/deactivate the Live Edit, simply Click it!

Managing Live Edits

The colour you selected is shown on the Swatch, there will also be an icon showing if the live edit is bound to an effect trigger (Strobe, Blackout, Blinder, Freeze or Fog).

You can reorganise the Live Edits by "Dragging & Dropping" them, simply by grabbing the direction handle with your mouse, or finger if you use a touchscreen.

You can change the colour of the swatch at any time by simply clicking on it.

You can Edit the Channels by clicking on the faders icon.

Group Triggers

As of v1.0.29, you can also Group triggers together, you can select several live edits, then the Create Group icon will appear, allowing you to create a Group Trigger which can be used to activate/deactivate multiple livedits at once.

Cue Triggers

As of v1.0.29, you can create Cue Triggers. This allows you to map Live Edits to specific Effect Cues, which when active would also activate the live edits. You can add/modify these triggers at any time from the Cue Triggers tab in Live Edits.
