What You Need for DJ Mode

DJ Mode requires one of the following audio sources to generate intelligent lightshows:

VirtualDJ

Full integration via our plugin or OS2L protocol. Works with all VirtualDJ versions that support plugins.

Traktor Pro 3 or 4

Dedicated plugin integration for Traktor Pro 3 and Traktor Pro 4. Earlier Traktor versions (Pro 2 and below) are not supported.

Built-in Music Player

No DJ software? No problem. Our built-in 2-deck mixer handles tracks up to 3 hours with background loading and fast BPM analysis. Full DJ Mode support - just load and play.

Don't have VirtualDJ or Traktor? The built-in music player is the easiest way to experience DJ Mode without any additional software.

Timeline Editor

The Timeline Editor gives you complete visual control over your entire light show. Lay out effects across your fixture groups on a time-synced timeline, aligned to the waveform of your track. Build shows clip by clip, or let AutoScript do the heavy lifting.

AutoScript: Instant Show Creation

AutoScript uses DMXDesktop's intelligent engine to generate a fully scripted show for your track automatically. It analyses the music and populates your timeline with effects across all your fixture groups — giving you a complete show to tweak to your taste, or a solid starting point to build on.

DJ Mode Feature

Track Overrides

Assign specific show settings to individual tracks. Set a color theme for one song, change the drop triggers for another, tweak gobo settings on a third. Per-track overrides are stored permanently and apply every time the track loads.

Cue Points

Set precise lighting triggers on your tracks with a visual waveform editor. Place cue points exactly where you want your lights to react. Each marker gets its own color, and you can drag to reposition until the timing is perfect. Available on desktop and mobile.
