Lighting that runs to the clock, and to the sunset
A schedule anchored to sunset does not need editing twice a year. Set the terrace to come on twenty minutes before sunset and it follows the season on its own: dark by half past four in December, hours later in June, and nobody goes near the machine.
The rest is the calendar. Opening hours that differ by day, a quieter look once the kitchen closes, and the days you are shut. The Scheduler is built into DMXDesktop, so there is no extra box and no separate app to keep running.
Sunrise and sunset anchoring
Start or end a schedule at sunrise or sunset instead of a clock time, with an offset in minutes either side. It is worked out for your own location and date, so the same schedule moves by hours between midwinter and midsummer without a single edit.
Different on a Sunday
Each schedule picks its own days of the week and its own window, so a late Friday and a quiet Sunday afternoon are two rows rather than two systems.
Closure dates
List the days you are closed, with a reason if you want the next person to know why. No schedule runs, the default look takes over, and a window that started the evening before stops at midnight instead of running on.
It gets out of the way
The Scheduler runs in the background whether or not a window is open, and it stands down the moment anyone takes the rig by hand. Staff can still change the room for a private party without breaking anything.
The Scheduler is a Pro feature. The tab is visible on lower plans so you can see what it does, but schedules only run on Pro.
