Build the show once, and play it the same way every night
Cue stacks are fired by an operator. The Show Timeline is the other half of the job: lay effects out across your fixture groups against the track, and what you programmed is what plays back, in the same order, at the same moment, every performance.
Drop a whole effect cue in
Pick a cue, drag out how long it should run, and the timeline fills in the clips for every group that cue covers, not only the lane you drew on. From there they are ordinary clips: keep what works, retime it, delete the rest. The cues you have already built need no rebuilding.
Saved static positions
Aim a group and save it as a named look, then place it on the timeline. Two clips in a row read as a move, and a gap between them reads as a hold, without a single pan value typed in by hand.
Travel Time
Movement clips decide how long the move takes, so a slow reveal is slow and a snap is a snap. Left on Auto they behave exactly as before, and nothing you built earlier changes.
Nothing snaps back at the final curtain
A gap on a movement lane holds the lights where the last clip left them instead of swinging them back to centre. The last clip of a show no longer resets the rig the moment it finishes.
