Unattended operation, so you do not go back to site
Every commissioning conversation ends at the same question: what happens when nobody is there? Build the schedule at handover and the rig runs to it whether or not a window is open on that machine. Set DMXDesktop to launch at login and start minimised, and the installation comes back on its own after a power cut, on the right look for the time of day.
It also stands down on its own the moment someone at the venue takes the rig by hand, so a manager changing the lights for an event does not fight the schedule and does not generate a call to you. Full detail on the Scheduler page.
Per stage, not per machine
Schedules belong to the stage they were built for, so a multi-room site keeps each room’s timings with that room. Switching stage starts or stops the matching schedule.
Startup and default looks
A startup look is asserted once the app has finished starting, so the rig comes up on something known rather than whatever it was left on. A default look covers the gaps between windows.
Priority layering
Give an override a higher priority than the daily look and it sits on top of it for as long as it is needed. The week view draws every schedule as a bar across the days it falls on, with a strip under each day showing what will actually run once priority is resolved.
Prove it before you leave
Simulate takes any date and any time and tells you what would run, with nothing sent to the lights. Try a date in midwinter and one in midsummer: a sunset-anchored schedule should move by hours between the two.
Sunrise and sunset anchoring
Anchor a facade to sunrise or sunset with a minute offset and it tracks the season with no seasonal edit and no return visit. The site location is entered once and needs no network connection after that.
The Scheduler is a Pro feature. The tab is visible on lower plans so a client can see what it does, but schedules only run on Pro.
