# Beacon

Your direct line to the DMXDesktop team

## What is Beacon?

Beacon is DMXDesktop's built-in support ticketing system. Report bugs, request new features, ask for fixture profiles, or get help with support questions - all without leaving the app. It's a public community forum where you can browse existing tickets, upvote ideas, and add comments. Opt in to email notifications and we'll let you know when the team responds.

## What You Can Do

### Report Bugs

Submit bug reports with steps to reproduce, attach screenshots, and optionally include system diagnostics to help us fix issues faster.

### Request Features

Suggest new features with use cases and reference links. Help shape the future of DMXDesktop.

### Request Fixture Profiles

Need a fixture that's not in the library? Submit a request with the brand, model, and a product link and we'll add it.

### Ask Support Questions

Got a question about DMXDesktop? Submit a support ticket and get help directly from the team.

### Vote & Comment

Browse existing tickets, upvote what matters to you, and add comments to join the conversation.

### Get Notified

Opt in to email notifications to hear back when the team responds to your tickets.

## Getting Started

1. 1 Open Beacon from **Main Menu → Beacon**
2. 2 Choose a ticket type: **Bug Report**, **New Feature**, **Fixture Profile**, or **Support Question**
3. 3 Fill in the details - each type has tailored fields (e.g. steps to reproduce for bugs, brand and model for fixture profiles)
4. 4 Drag and drop screenshots to help illustrate your ticket
5. 5 Browse existing tickets before submitting to avoid duplicates

Beacon is a public forum - please don't share personal information, passwords, or licence keys.

## Priority Support

Paid and Pro users receive priority support - we'll get to your ticket first. Free user tickets are reviewed as time allows.
